Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Professional Association defines an EAP as a worksite based program designed to assist work organizations in addressing productivity issues, and employee clients in identifying and resolving personal concerns, including, but not limited to health marital, family, financial, alcohol, drug, legal, emotional, stress, or other personal issues that may affect job performance.

By definition, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP’s) are designed to assist both the employer and the employee. This facilitates the organization’s efforts to improve employee productivity, lower employee turnover, improve safety, and reduce health related costs.
